Suitable Locations for a Stormwater Park, Göteborg 2022-01-20
The goal with this (group) project was to determine suitable locations for a stormwater park in Gothenburg. The work consists of several separate analyses that in the end where weighted in a multi criteria analyse to reach optimal site suggestions.

The project started with criteria discussions, data collection, data preparation and separate analysis of each chosen criterias.

The results was streamlined/reclassified in a suitability interval between 1-5 (5 = most suitable), assigned weighted percentages to set relative importance, and finally analyzed in an overlay which provided a map with optimal locations:
To take into consideration also real time data of available land areas in the city, a sixth criteria were examined and identified, based on residual areas and areas zoned for land use change.

This sixth criteria were overlaid with the first overlay (optimal locations), resulting in our final map and recommendations for site selection:
This is a group project from my master I did with four architects and a forester, in a multicultural context representing Brazil, China, Egypt, New Zeeland and Sweden.
The project was performed during the pandemic and reached over several months of work including daily zoom-meetings, reasonings about aim, data collection and many more sub analysises on top of what is described on this page.
